About me
I'm a work-from-home (disabled) grandma whose primary "job" is doing transcription. My other businesses include writing, maintaining websites, designing and selling custom bookmarks and doing PowerPoint presentations and videos.

I've had artificial salon-done nails for a little over 15 years. About three months ago, I decided it was time to try to scrimp on some of my little extras and forego the salon expense. And so I turned to YouTube for some alternatives … ergo - artificial glue-on nails!

YouTube is almost my best online friend now as I can find tons of video tutorials on designs like making my own dotting tools, using sponges, mixing colors, water marbling, etc.

This is really a lot of fun - besides getting compliments on my nails. :-)

    Question - how many of you happen to use artificial, glue-on nails and when you get "bored" you design them ahead of time?

    I'll have more photos of other "freehand" designs as I get around to wearing them. I think the photos look better when the nails are ON the fingers. ROFL

    Has anyone here ever tried any of the Konad stamping products? If so, what's your take on that? Also, I was watching some videos on the Barbie Dolled up Nails Digital Nail Printer. I want one! LOL I know it's supposed to be a "toy," but it seems like it's just a scaled down, personal model of all the really expensive printers that are in the nail salons and cost upwards of $500.

    I'm going to try my hand - again - third attempt - at waterslide decals. I bought the paper and just printed out some new swirly heart designs that I hope will work. Fortunately, the nails I buy are super affordable so I can afford to screw up once in a while. ROFL
